Filmmaker statement

This first narrative project was born from a COLLABORATION between Roberta Cappa and Martina Coccia.

Thanks to our work, our paths first crossed in the magical city of Boston in 2018. What began as a friendship gradually evolved into a creative dialogue; one that continued over the years, even as life took us in different directions, across countries and time zones. Through it all, we kept returning to the same place: cinema, and the desire to make it.

In 2025, that dialogue became a collaboration when we worked together on Martina’s first documentary, "Ciao, Paese". Making the film confirmed something we had sensed for a long time: that we each brought our own strengths and perspectives, and that bringing them together could create something unique and special.
